Soak in Your Intention: The Art of a Venoura Bath

There’s something about taking a bath that feels completely different from taking a shower.

A shower gets you ready to move.

A bath asks you to stay.

To slow down. To breathe. To let the day soften around you for a little while.

That’s exactly how I think about Venoura bath salts.

They’re not just something you toss into the tub because you want your bath to smell good. They’re an invitation to create a moment that feels intentional — whether you’re releasing the energy of a long day, reconnecting with yourself, indulging in your sensuality, or simply giving yourself permission to do absolutely nothing for a while.

Sometimes the most luxurious thing you can do is stop.

So, What Makes a Venoura Bath Different?

I wanted Venoura baths to feel like more than traditional bath time.

Each blend is created around a particular intention, combining mineral-rich Epsom salts, botanicals, beautiful color, and fragrance to create a sensory experience that feels just as good as it looks.

And honestly, you don't need a complicated ritual to enjoy them.

You need a bathtub, some time, and a little intention.

That's it.

Start With Your Intention

Before you even run the water, think about what you need from the experience.

Are you trying to release something?

Do you want to feel more sensual?

Are you craving softness and self-devotion?

Maybe you're preparing yourself for a new opportunity and want to step into a more confident, abundant mindset.

Or maybe you're just tired and want to relax.

There doesn't have to be a profound reason.

Your intention can simply be:

“I want to feel good tonight.”

That's more than enough.

The Venoura Bath Ritual, Step by Step

1. Set the scene

Dim the lights, light a candle, put on something you love listening to, and close the door. Give yourself a few minutes to arrive before the water does.

2. Draw your bath

Run the water to a temperature that feels comfortable to you: warm and inviting, never uncomfortably hot. Test it with your hand or wrist before stepping in.

3. Add your salts

Each Venoura jar holds 16 oz / 450 g of Epsom salts, botanicals, and fragrance. For one bath, start with about ½ cup sprinkled under the running water so the salts dissolve and the botanicals spread through the tub. Use a little more or less depending on the size of your bath and your preference.

4. Soak and stay

Settle in for around 20 to 30 minutes, or whatever feels right. Breathe. Hold your intention in mind, or let your thoughts drift. If you ever feel too warm or lightheaded, it's time to step out.

5. Close the ritual

Rise slowly, rinse off, and pat your skin dry. Take one more breath before you rejoin the rest of your evening, and notice how you feel.

A Few Gentle Precautions

  • For external use only.
  • Before your first full soak, try a patch test: dissolve a small amount of salts in water, apply to the inside of your wrist, and wait to make sure your skin is comfortable.
  • If your skin is sensitive, start with a smaller amount.

Choose Your Blend

You deserve more than a routine.

You deserve a ritual.

Choose your intention. Draw your bath. Stay a while.
